With over 6 million active accounts Facebook has become the most popular social networking website in history. It's a great way to meet new people, re-unite with old friends, promote a business or even kick back and have some fun. Through Facebook Apps, members are able to play games of all sorts for free. One game in particular that I suggest is called Crime City. It takes its roots back from the original app days of Mafia Wars, throws it in a 3d environment and puts its on spin on it.
CrimeCity is a Facebook app that draws a lot from many well know game apps from myspace. Namely, Mafia Wars. When Facebook apps started out the games were usually text based point and click fests. Questing:
In Crime City, traditional questing has been tossed out the window. Instead of reading a short description of text and finding out of if you meet the requirements to complete a quest, you traverse a virtual mini city. Clicking on buildings or people performs the listed crime even. Your avatar will approach the building or person and an animation event will occur. Anything can happen from mugging someone, purse snatching, robbing a store and even delving a little into the 007 side of things and planting surveillance equipment to spy on businesses. Upon completing them you gain experience, money and a random collectible item.
Pimp Your City:
In Crime City you also get your very own city to decorate and fill with buildings and other ends and odds. Your city is where you place buildings that earn you cash. Residential buildings will allow you to set up rackets. Rackets are events that are assigned to a building to generate money. Each building has its own set of available rackets. Crime City is a time management game at heart. Being so, different rackets are available to collect from at different times. The longer you wait, the better the racket and the higher the reward. Rackets reward you with cash and experience.
Business's in Crime City generate you cash as well. Some, however, will also boost your stats. They can increase your energy gain, increase your attack strength, defensive strength, generate resources for other buildings and even give you a mafia boost.
The Shop:
Crime City come complete with its very own shop. You can buy everything you would expect in the store with in-game cash and Facebook cash. Items to equip your mafia with, decorations for your city, residential buildings, business's, recreational areas and even grass or dirt for a unique terrain. You can really make your mafia's and your city stand out.
